Pam Lewis has served as Circuit Court Clerk of Dickson County since she was elected in August of 2002. Prior to her election in 2002, she worked in the Circuit Court office for thirteen years.
Lewis is a 1980 graduate of Dickson County High School and a 1989 graduate of Tennessee Technology Center with a degree in Accounting. She is also a 2001 graduate of the University of Tennessee Institute for Public Service with a designation of Certified Public Administrator. She is married to Jerry Lewis, has two children, Justin and Jessica Myatt, and two grandchildren.
The Circuit Court Clerk’s office deals with all types of civil cases except worker’s compensation cases; deals with investments; handles misdemeanor and felony criminal cases; handles appeals from Municipal Courts, General Sessions Court. The Circuit Court Clerk acts as the principal administrative aide to the Circuit Court, provides assistance in the areas of the courtroom administration and records management, docket maintenance, revenue management, maintenance of court minutes. The Circuit Court Clerk also holds the position of jury coordinator for the court system.

Founded in 1803, Dickson County was named for William Dickson, a Nashville physician and legislator who reportedly was a friend of President Andrew Jackson. Dickson County's rich history includes industry in the iron furnaces of Cumberland Furnace.
